Every number carries its basis
A figure without its arithmetic attached is a claim. Every euro in a Cortex roadmap traces back to a headcount, an hour count and a sentence somebody said in an interview.
Cortex audits how a company operates, designs its artificial intelligence strategy, and builds the systems that carry it into production.
Nine minutes. Your own numbers. No call required.
Cortex is an organisational intelligence practice operating across Europe. The firm was built on a simple observation: organisations do not lack access to artificial intelligence, they lack an accurate picture of where it belongs. Producing that picture, and then acting on it, is the whole of our work.
A figure without its arithmetic attached is a claim. Every euro in a Cortex roadmap traces back to a headcount, an hour count and a sentence somebody said in an interview.
A company running four to seven systems is usually using a fraction of each. Connecting that estate beats replacing it on cost, on timeline, and on whether anyone uses the result.
Where payback on a proposed engagement runs past twelve months, the smaller engagement is proposed and the arithmetic is shown. This is enforced in the system that writes the roadmap.
Every engagement leaves a pattern behind, stripped of anything identifying, and the next engagement starts from it. This is why the work gets faster without getting shallower.
The published finding shows all four rules applied, with every assumption shown, and the order they serve is the method in full.
Cortex works with companies between one and twenty million euro in revenue, most often digital businesses: commerce operations, software companies past product market fit, agencies, marketplaces, subscription services, professional services firms and bookings businesses. These are organisations whose work already lives in systems, which is what makes the drag measurable and the audit worth running.
We decline three kinds of engagement, and it is worth being specific.
Where a company arrives with the build chosen and wants hands to deliver it, the audit has nothing to add and the honesty rule would rule us out on the first page. There are better and cheaper ways to buy that.
The drains an audit prices are created by handoffs between people. Below a certain size there are not enough handoffs to pay for the work, and we say so before an audit is booked.
A system that makes an existing task marginally faster fails our filter, along with chat interfaces on websites and tools that write marketing copy. Each is easy to build and none survives the twelve month question.
The Cortex OS is the method, the library and the engine the practice runs on. It is why an audit takes days rather than weeks, why every system is built the same way, and why every roadmap arrives with numbers attached. Clients never buy it and never see it. They experience it as speed, and as the fact that nothing has to be invented twice.
Cortex operates across Europe and works in English. Client material is held in the European Union and isolated per workspace at the database level. The full position is on the security and data page.
The written report that follows the Cortex AI Audit is produced by a language model from your answers and from figures computed in code. Every number in it is calculated before the model writes a word, and the model is not permitted to introduce one. The same engine drafts the question script for the first conversation, extracts findings from interview transcripts and drafts the roadmap, and every draft is reviewed and edited by the practice before a client sees it.
Client material is never used to train a model. Nothing from an engagement leaves the European Union except the text sent for model inference, which is processed under the provider's commercial terms and is not retained for training. The honesty rule that proposes the smaller engagement is enforced in that engine, in code, so it does not depend on who is presenting.
